GAME BAR

Star*Club bar is located in Shinjuku 3-chome. From corner to corner, this bar is filled with rare game items that draw game fans to this dream-like space. The bar owner explained why he designed his place like this. “In my childhood, there were many game arcades run by private owners. Playing games in dark, strange spaces where only youngsters gathered was a thrilling yet cool experience. I wanted to reproduce such a space in a shot bar. That was the key.”

Illumination that looks like waste pipes is very popular. Some small game-related interior items were donated by customers.

Among Shinjuku shot bars, Star*Club is particularly popular with overseas visitors. Sometimes, this bar is filled with international people only, including honeymooners (nobody knows why). They flock to the bar mostly through friendly introductions by way of the international grapevine.
