Model and designer, K and Kate fur fur

Natural kawaii with new balance for future fashion.

“My whole outfit today is a subtle gradation of white to beige. This kind of natural look is easy to match in an everyday wardrobe, so I love it. It also fits a home interior. The more you use it, the better it suits your taste,” says Keito Sakai, a model and designer. “I believe that kawaii is becoming freer and freer, day by day. I like both the girlish style I’m wearing today as well as the hard-edged fashion. Recently, I noticed that a new balance of 70% cool and 30% girlish works well — for example, feminine ribbons and frills on top of cool black, gray, and navy colors.” She herself combines black nails and a studded black-toned iPhone case with her natural-colored dresses. Ms. Sakai really enjoys kawaii fashion.
