Shojono Tomo says, “For me, kawaii can be as useful as a car or as useless as the calyx of an eggplant. It isn’t intentional but simply looks adorable. I’d like to express such things through my art.” Caro says, “Kawaii culture is flourishing in many parts of the world. Kawaii just might be a way to escape from reality.”
