Suzuka Circuit
Suzuka city
Japan's first full-scale circuit, where the F1 Grand Prix is held.
In 1962, at the suggestion of Honda, Japan built its own international racing course, the Suzuka Circuit, as a major construction project. The F1 Japanese Grand Prix and the Suzuka 8 Hours endurance road race are held here, the epicenter of Japanese motorsports. They say that hearing the sound of roaring motors and echoing cheers just once is enough to get you addicted—maybe that’s why motor fans come from all over Japan for the Suzuka Circuit season.
Whoever masters the S-bends, masters Suzuka.
A feature of the Suzuka Circuit is its distinctive figure-8 layout, which is quite rare globally. It’s also laid out with plenty of sharp curves, and you can easily believe how the expression “Whoever masters the S-bends, masters Suzuka” arose. Even world-class F1 racers have stated that when driving on the Suzuka Circuit they truly feel like Grand Prix drivers, and a great many drivers are fascinated by the Suzuka course layout. The Circuit is also certified to International Automobile Federation (FIA) safety standards, and it has been rated as among the world's top-class courses, along with Monaco.
Amusement facilities! Fun for families at the Suzuka Circuit?!
The entire Suzuka Circuit area has been turned into a large leisure zone that even children can enjoy. At the Motopia amusement park built within the circuit, parents and children can together enjoy the experience of racing carts and motor sports, making this an irresistible spot for car lovers. In addition, there is a diverse range of leisure facilities, such as an outdoor pool to enjoy in summer, as well as natural hot springs and accommodation facilities. The entire family can easily spend a fun-filled day here together.
