Hatsuki Furutani

Nail artist

I want to create awesome kawaii nail art.

Ms. Furutani’s nail art is like watercolor painting. Ten nails create a story that fascinates viewers. She says, “When I’m doing nail art, I’m inspired by my customers. While I take care of their nails, I spend a long enough time to learn about their work, love life, family, and hobbies. I search for what each customer expects from her nails and what might inspire her most. In fact, my nail art is a collaboration with my customer.” She also notes, “The moment of the first brush stroke determines the entire design. This moment really thrills me and I feel exhilarated, “This is kawaii!” To me, this amazing moment is an encounter with breathtaking design. My nail art is the result of pursuing such kawaii design.”
